Bridging the Aloha at Rainbow Bridge Saturday, October 18th, 2008 - 3:00 - 6:00 pm MMen and women are invited to participate in an intimate connection with Mother Earth, embracing the balance of yin and yang. A gathering is being held at the Petroglyphs at Donner Pass to hold ceremony and create a rite of passage that enables all of us to be brought to that place within ourselves where we are balanced and one with our essences. Each person is asked to bring a ho’o kupu (offering) from nature. Be sure to ask permission of the offering from nature first. There will be a melding of male and female into pohaku (stone) and a gathering at the altar to give thanks for the meld, the balancing and healing. The Hawaiian way after a ceremony is to celebrate by holding a circle and having a party, so bring food, chairs, and drinks (no alcohol, please.) Call 530-887-8720 for more details and directions.
Dear Clients, Colleagues and Friends: I have been exploring the power of breath and sound to raise our level of consciousness in daily living. My work as a psychotherapist has changed to integrate sound, Body-Centered Therapy and breathwork. I have been struggling recently with the therapy concept that perceives people as "victims" or "broken". So I have shifted to a learning concept that does not presume there is anything "wrong with you". It simply guides you to learn How To Make Your Life More Joyful and Productive. The learning concept invites you to take responsibility for your life. I understand that growing more conscious is not always comfortable - I certainly have had my own struggles. However, I feel that overcoming the fear and discomfort has opened me up to so many new possibilities. I am now excited to share with you all that I have learned.
